Will teams up with Boris Herrmann for the Transat Jacques Vabres Race 2019

On the 27th October Boris Herrmann and Will Harris will set off for the 4350-mile Transat Jacques Vabre race onboard Imoca 60 ‘Malizia 2’.

Starting in Le Havre, France on the 27th October, the 14th edition of the race will follow the historic coffee trading route across the Atlantic to the finish in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

With registration closed, 67 boats across the Class40, Multi50 and IMOCA 60 classes are confirmed to embark on the 4,350-mile race. Racing against some of the toughest double-handed teams in the class, with 34 IMOCA Globe Series crews registered.

As one of the youngest sailors to compete, this is an incredible opportunity for Will to learn from some of the most experienced skippers in the sport. After success in the ROLEX Royal Ocean Racing Club Fastnet Race earlier this year, Boris and Will are looking forward to sailing together again, and the coming weeks in preparation for the race ahead.
